Grant Blank (Ph.D. University of Chicago) was the Survey Research Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute and Senior Research Fellow of Harris Manchester College, both part of the University of Oxford, United Kingdom until his retirement in 2024. He is a sociologist specializing in the social and cultural impact of the Internet, the digital divide, statistical and qualitative methods, and cultural sociology. He is currently working on analyses of American Internet use based on the 2023 Computer and Internet Use supplement to the Current Population Survey. Author or co-author of six books and about 60 papers, in 2015 he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Communication, Information Technology and Media Sociology section of the American Sociological Association.
