About the Role
We’re seeking a talented and motivated Digital Marketing Fellow to support the online development of the Portulans Institute. We want to hire an ambitious individual who is interested in social media and content creation boosting the image and reputation of our organization.
The role itself focuses on content creation based on the research and work produced by Portulans Institute drawing from global digital readiness indices and related resources. The goal is to maintain a consistent social media presence that entices everyday viewers and enhances their knowledge of tech policy and Portulans Institute.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate learning objectives into engaging and accessible educational content
- Develop and refine a range of assets, including scripts for short video lectures, case studies, assessment exercises, and interactive tasks
- Adapt insights from global data, reports, and case studies into formats that resonate with policymakers
- Help shape our overall social media presence, ensuring alignment across platforms and a smooth progression of content
- Work in close collaboration with a team including subject matter experts, instructional designers, and video producers
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- College Student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Experience in graphic design, content creation, or media production
- Strong communication and writing skills, especially the ability to simplify complex content for non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with social media marketing and growth strategies
- (Desired but not required) Exposure to digital benchmarking tools or frameworks (e.g., digital readiness indices, performance dashboards)
