Karim is the Managing Director of Space42, the new AI-powered space technology champion with global reach which will be formed following the proposed merger of YahSat and Bayanat. He has an extensive history of proven success in the space sector. Until recently, he served as Managing Director at E-Space with a focus on space-based hyperscale IoT. He was the former President and CEO of SES where he led its restructuring into a multi-service and multi-orbit satellite operator. Prior to his industry roles, Karim was a Senior Partner with Booz&Co where he advised global satellite and telecom operators. He completed his graduate and postgraduate studies in technology, strategy, finance, and government.
